Rules governing the use of the Yeti Internet network to keep the service fast, secure, and fair for everyone.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all customers of Yeti Internet LLC ("Yeti Internet," "we," "us," "our") and governs the use of our broadband internet access services. This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Yeti Internet Terms of Service. By activating or using service, you agree to comply with this policy.
Yeti Internet serves a rural mountain community where shared network capacity is a resource that affects all of our neighbors. This AUP exists to protect the quality of service for everyone, maintain the security and integrity of our network, and ensure that the service is used for lawful purposes.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account and your network connection, whether performed by you, members of your household, employees, guests, or any other person who accesses the service through your account. This responsibility includes the actions of anyone who accesses the internet through a wireless router or access point connected to your Yeti Internet service.
You may use the service for any lawful purpose consistent with these rules. You must not use the service in a way that is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or that violates any applicable law or regulation.
The following activities are expressly prohibited on the Yeti Internet network:
We take AUP violations seriously because they affect the entire community we serve. Our response will be proportional to the nature and severity of the violation:
When we become aware of a potential AUP violation — through our own monitoring, a complaint from a third party, or a report from another Yeti Internet customer — we will investigate. We will not take action against an account based solely on an unverified third-party complaint.
For most violations, we will contact the account holder by email or phone before taking any action. We will describe the alleged violation and provide a reasonable opportunity to address it (typically 48–72 hours). We skip this step for violations involving CSAM, active attacks on our network or other systems, or other situations requiring immediate action.
Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:
Service suspension or termination for AUP violations does not relieve you of payment obligations for the affected billing period.
We are required by federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) to report apparent violations involving child sexual exploitation material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's CyberTipline and to law enforcement. We will do so without prior notice to the account holder.
If you believe a Yeti Internet customer is engaging in network abuse, sending spam, or conducting attacks originating from our network, please report it to:
Email: hello@yetiinternet.com
Subject line: "Abuse Report"
Phone: 855-GET-YETI
Please include as much detail as possible: timestamps, IP addresses, message headers, and a description of the activity. We treat all abuse reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
Yeti Internet complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that content accessible through our network infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to:
Designated DMCA Agent: Yeti Internet LLC
Email: hello@yetiinternet.com
Subject line: "DMCA Notice"
Phone: 855-GET-YETI
Your notice must include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the infringing material and its location; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good faith belief; (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act; and (6) your signature (physical or electronic).
We will respond to valid DMCA notices promptly and maintain a repeat-infringer policy in accordance with the DMCA.
We may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email and posted on our website with at least 14 days advance notice. Continued use of service after the effective date of a revised AUP constitutes acceptance of the changes.
